As Toby wrote we loved El Questro. We booked a private
campsite on the river which was brilliant, 50m to the river sandy beach one end
and tiny waterfalls and pools the other. We actually liked it so much and realized there was so much to do we tried to book the site for another 2
nights. However it was booked, but we still stayed another 2 nights up at
Station campground. In the 4 days there we managed 3 long walks, a dip in the
hot springs at Zebedee Springs, hired boats for a trip up Chamberlain gorge and had sunset drinks at Pigeon Hole look out. We even took the Eagle for its first water crossing – 500mm deep across the Pentacost river to El Questro gorge and gate crashed a Prado convention. Could have easily had another 2 days here. Samuel even commented that he wants to go back when he’s and adult. We also said goodbye to our new friends Paul, Elese, Noah and Jess who we met again here after seeing them at Lake Argyle, Kununurra, and the Bungles..
The name El Questro is not derived from Spanish. Apparently the owner had a liking for Spaghetti Novels.
