Dales Gorge - By Samuel

Today we did Dales gorge with the Scheffers. We had a swim at fern pool after climbing down the edge of the gorge. There were heaps of fruit bats in the gum trees above us. After scrambling over rocks, crossing creeks and dodging vines and branches we got to Circular pool. The water was so cold that our whole bodies were stinging and then we went numb and the water felt warmer. We climbed some stairs to the top of the cliff, at the lookout I spotted a monitor sitting on the edge of the cliff. We got back and after dinner we played Trivial Pursuit, Zoe and I won!

Weano and Hancock Gorge by Toby

We headed off early to Weano gorge. We climbed down steps to the gorge we crisscrossed the river until we got to a large pool of water. We dropped some of our stuff at one side and walked across, we followed Josh up on some rocks and I slipped off. We ended up in a narrow chasm climbing down slippery rocks to a pool of water. The path led to a waterfall. There was a handrail on one side that curved round the corner and down a drop. We swam through absolutely FREEZING water!!!! At the end we could see further down. Halfway back we climbed stairs, crossed a road and down a set of steps and two ladders into Hancock Gorge. We walked through a big pool of water and left some stuff behind. We walked into an Amphitheatre. We left our t-shirts and hats there and walked through the spider walk and climbed between two really narrow cliffs. When it widened up there was a little slippery slope that I slipped down. At the end there was a pool of water. Samuel, Dad, Lachlan and I jumped off a cliff.

Knox  and Joffre Gorges Karijini NP by Lachlan

We got an early start. We went to Knox gorge with the Scheffers. First we went to the lookout. We were on the trail going down lots of steps. When we got to the bottom we had a freezing cold swim. After we went to Joffre Falls. We had a freezing cold swim there. Lastly we went to Kalamina gorge we put the lunch box down the river and we got Junior Ranger badges.
